The SIGMA Alternate Program, situated within New Westminster Secondary School, offers a supportive and flexible learning environment designed to respond to a wide range of student needs and circumstances. Through personalized guidance, adaptable scheduling, and a close-knit community, SIGMA helps many students thrive both academically and personally.

Key Program Highlights:

• Flexible scheduling and timetables designed to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Course options include both structured and self-directed formats.
• Community engagement through shared meals—breakfasts, lunches, and celebratory gatherings—as well as field trips and school-wide events.
• Consistent one-on-one teacher check-ins to support attendance and academic progress.
• On-site support services, including a youth care worker, access to personal counselling, and referrals to external resources.
